Privacy Policy

The short version
- Your projects, songs, photos and videos stay in your browser. They are only uploaded when you ask the AI to sync lyrics, and the audio is deleted right after.
- An account only needs an email and a password (stored hashed).
- No ads, no tracking cookies, no selling of data. One cookie keeps you signed in.
- You can ask for your data or its deletion at any time: rainer.ae@yahoo.com.
1. Who is responsible
ikulyrics (ikulyrics.pages.dev) is run by iku, an independent creator based in Switzerland, who is responsible for the processing of your personal data. Contact: rainer.ae@yahoo.com.
This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What we collect and why

Everything else — your projects, lyrics, settings, photos, background videos and exported videos — is stored only on your device (browser storage) and never sent to us.
3. Cookies and browser storage
We use one essential cookie, iku_session, to keep you signed in (up to 30 days). The editor saves your current project and styles in your browser's local storage so you don't lose your work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
4. Service providers
ikulyrics relies on these providers, who process data on our behalf:

Some of these providers are located outside Switzerland and the EU, in particular in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses or data-privacy frameworks.
5. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to receive a copy of it, to object to its processing, or to withdraw your consent (for the newsletter) at any time. Write to rainer.ae@yahoo.com from the email address of your account. You can also delete your account yourself from the account menu.
You may also complain to a data-protection authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, the authority of your country.
6. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored as salted hashes, and access to the servers and database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will inform you if a breach puts it at risk.
7. Children
ikulyrics is not meant for children under 13. If you are under the age required to consent on your own in your country, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves (for example when Pro payments open). The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be announced on the site.
